Plot: Seven years after the Monster Pocalypse, Joel Dawson, along with the rest of humanity, has lived underground since giant creatures took control of the earth. After reconnecting on the radio with his high school friend Amy, who is now 80 miles from the coastal colony, Joel starts attacking her again. Realizing that there is nothing left for him underground, Joel decides against all logic to go to Amy, despite all the dangerous monsters that hinder him.
